Not your average porch pirate: Watch the moment a bear steals a family's Uber Eats order

No one likes porch pirates, especially when a food delivery is involved. While it's tempting to chase a thief down when you catch them on security cam knabbing your dinner, one family in Florida wasn't left that option when their Uber Eats order went missing last week.
Instead, Florida residents Laidy Gutierrez and Daniel Bula were left high and dry on Friday when an unusual visitor decided to raid their Taco Bell delivery.
Doorbell camera footage captured the incident, starting with an Uber Eats delivery driver dropping a bag of food off on the Orlando family's front porch before walking back to their car.
Soon after, a large bear can be seen meandering onto the screen.
Before Gutierrez or her daughter can make their way outside to get the $45 Taco Bell order, the bear grabs the bag in its mouth, strolling slowly down the walkway without paying second thought to its thieving ways.

The family was baffled when they opened their door a few minutes later to see an empty porch. Knowing the order had been marked delivered, they can be seen with their heads on a swivel, trying to figure out where their meal had vanished to.
Once they checked the cameras, however, they were not surprised to see the burglar happened to be huge and furry. Gutierrez told local affiliate FOX 35 Orlando that bears are so common in the neighborhood they often check their security cameras before leaving the house to avoid a run-in.
Gutierrez's niece Nicole Castro told FOX 35 that the bear not only helped itself to the entire bag of tacos, but also returned to the porch later to grab the soda it left behind. Little did the not-so-covert criminal know that the evidence would later go viral after being posted on social media.
While the family said they will no longer be receiving food deliveries on their porch, they were able to secure a refund from Uber Eats, though it is unlikely the app has a button specifically for reporting a bear-related theft to use in future incidents.
